What is Venture Philanthropy?

We believe the best chance at success in bringing cures and treatments to inheritable blood disorders community is to invest in promising therapies and technologies and help guide them through development. As flexible partners that offer significant added value to portfolio companies and private capital partners, P2C will close the funding-gap for early-stage biotech companies.

With a venture philanthropy model, P2C can leverage our philanthropic capital, expertise and resources to “de-risk” investments for private capital partners and build a portfolio of investments with the potential to make transformational impact across inheritable blood disorders.

P2C’s targeted investment strategy is focused on guiding and advancing portfolio companies to bring them closer to clinical development. While there is risk associated with early-stage investments, there is also the opportunity to build a pathway to cures and improve the quality of life of more than 20 million patients living with inherited blood disorders worldwide. As a high-impact philanthropic vehicle, all returns from the Fund’s investments will be recycled back into furthering P2C’s mission.
